Job Details:
Job Summary:
Assembles and maintains case carts with required supplies for emergent and routine surgical cases.
Responsibilities:
Reviews Operating Room (OR) schedule and participates in daily rounds to determine case carts and supplies required for upcoming surgical procedures.
Collaborates with Central Sterile and OR Materials Management team members to obtain required supplemental surgical instrumentation and related supplies.
Utilizes pick lists as a reference to assemble case carts.
Picks items and assembles case carts for upcoming and anticipated surgical
cases. Ensures integrity of related packaging, wraps, and containers.
Identifies and/or missing items and obtains replacements, as required. Informs management of related inventory needs.
Transports case carts to appropriate locations within OR for use.
Communicates with OR team members to ensure availability of needed supplies.
Performs required duties to maintain a contaminant-free work environment.
Adheres to department policies and procedures and related regulatory standards in the performance of duties.
Documents and maintains records of daily activities according to department policies and procedures.
Participates in department quality control programs and in-service training, as required.
Performs related duties, as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
Prior related OR experience, preferred
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Licenses / Certifications:
N/A
Other:
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing) and
follow oral and/or written instructions, required. Special Requirements: N/A
