We are a 100% employee-owned, family-run heavy civil construction company that self-performs underground utility installation and roadway/grading operations. Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects (sitework, grading, utilities, earthwork).
Perform digital quantity takeoffs using industry-standard software.
Analyze drawings, specs, and project documents to determine accurate scopes of work.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
Support project handoff to operations with documentation and estimating breakdowns.
Maintain and organize historical cost data, unit pricing, and vendor databases.

Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in civil construction estimating
Proficiency in estimating tools, such as: On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, AGTEK, Trimble Business Center, or other earthwork takeoff software, HCSS HeavyBid, HeavyJob
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word
Solid written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to manage client and vendor relationships professionally
Deep understanding of sitework, earthwork, grading, and mass excavation
Qualifications
Experience using AGTEK, Trimble, and mass excavation takeoff software
Background in grading/earthwork-focused estimating workflows
Familiarity with Utah construction codes, standards, and regional subcontractor base
