$5,498.00 - $6,890.00 Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one training of new staff and serve as a resource to Personnel Specialists within the Payroll Services Group (PSG). Act as the expert staff resource independently researching critical personnel problems and recommending alternative solutions. Lead complex projects related to payroll and benefit services and coordinate statewide personnel/payroll programs in a team environment. Review, advise, and make decisions on varied and complex personnel transactions; serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Reference laws, rules and policies, and utilize the State Controller's Office (SCO) automated payroll system and the California Leave Accounting System. Collaborate with the department on payroll and personnel processes and provide guidance to staff to ensure accuracy in transactions. Position Details
