Vast array of voluntary benefits Position Overview: The Purchasing Coordinator provides support in the procuring functions directly associated with the purchasing of products to be sold in stores. This position is responsible to be a liaison for the Buyers and vendors along with providing administrative and clerical support to the buying department. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare, release, revise, and manage purchase orders for Ollie's Buyers Initiate item/SKU setup in Ollie's System Initiate vendor set up in the Ollie's system for billing, allocations, and sales Create and obtain item lists and item pictures for various buys Set up items in the system to allow for proper accounting of goods. Provide customer support for stores, vendors, and Buyers. Assist with resolving questions, inquiries, and concerns from stores and warehouses Provide administrative support for the Buying team. Create, complete, and submit vendor forms. Handle special projects as assigned. Develop a smooth operational flow of all office functions with vendors and stores. Answer telephone and take messages or field/answer all routine and non-routine questions. Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) Ability to work effectively in a professional environment. Ability to exercise sound judgement. Ability to effectively communicate with all team members as well as guests. Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job. Ability to complete assignments in the time allotted. Physical Requirements: Physical ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly. Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
