Job Goal:

The Before/After Care Supervisor ensures a safe, positive, and well-organized environment for Early Learning Center students during school-provided care times. This role supports smooth daily operations, clear communication with families and staff, and alignment with school and district goals.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Supervise students during before and/or after-care sessions, maintaining a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. Manage daily routines that promote smooth transitions between the school day and care times, including check-in and dismissal procedures. Communicate program expectations to students and families; reinforce respectful behavior, safety, and positive interactions. Coordinate age-appropriate activities that promote engagement, cooperation, and independence. Monitor student attendance, document incidents or concerns, and promptly communicate safety or behavioral issues to the Principal. Maintain program spaces and materials in clean, organized condition; follow health, hygiene, and confidentiality practices. Collaborate with classroom staff, office personnel, and the Principal to support student needs and program improvements. Preferred Qualifications:

Dependable, punctual, cooperative, and professional. Ability to supervise young children in a variety of settings with patience, consistency, and fairness. Clear communication skills and commitment to confidentiality and student dignity. Ability to stand, walk, and stoop as needed, and to lift at least 20 pounds. Interest in collaborating with other adults and supporting schoolwide expectations. Terms of Employment:

Schedule: Specific time may be before school, after school, or a combination of both, as assigned by the Principal / Director based on program needs. Compensation: Set by employee category and the applicable collective bargaining agreement; otherwise paid at an hourly pro-rated per-diem rate. Calendar: Follows the school-year calendar; occasional additional time for training or meetings may be assigned with prior approval.
