Lead Trainer Position

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Lead Trainer. The hourly rate for this position is $20.83 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Position Overview:

The Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing training programs to enhance employee skills, performance, and productivity. The Trainer will evaluate the effectiveness and growth of new employees and help with the training process. Emphasis will be placed on instilling a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement and fostering that culture beyond the classroom onto the plant floor. This role involves assessing training needs, developing instructional materials, coordinating training sessions, and evaluating program effectiveness. In This Function You Will: Facilitate Seamless Transitions: Partner with supervisors and team leads to ensure new trainees are smoothly and effectively integrated onto the plant floor, paired with qualified trainers for hands-on learning. Monitor New Hire Progress: Conduct structured 30-, 60-, and 90-day evaluations to assess the performance, engagement, and development of new employees, identifying areas for support or improvement. Manage Training Documentation: Own and maintain accurate records for all trainee and trainer activities, including attendance, progress tracking, certifications, and compliance documentation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Human Resources and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to design, approve, and deliver training programs that meet regulatory and organizational standards. Support Trainee Development: Provide ongoing guidance and resources to trainees, ensuring they are equipped to succeed in their roles and contribute effectively to operational goals. Promote Continuous Improvement: Champion the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) by embedding its principles into training programs and encouraging a culture of learning and innovation. Analyze Training Needs: Collect, interpret, and report data from annual training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and prioritize development initiatives for plant personnel. Design and Deliver Training Solutions: Develop and implement targeted training sessions and improvement projects based on site assessments, operational feedback, and strategic goals. Enhance Onboarding Experience: Assist in the onboarding process by delivering engaging and informative training that accelerates new hire readiness and retention. Support Comprehensive Training Coverage: Address both front-end and manufacturing training requirements through a mix of standardized, annualized, and ad hoc training programs. Ensure Safety and Flexibility: Uphold safety standards in all training activities and perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall training function. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. At least 3 years of manufacturing experience. Preferred Qualifications: Must have strong people skills, leadership, good communication and planning skills, and ability to manage more than one task at a time. Strong computer skills: Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), AS400, DMM, MQ1, Eaton University, SharePoint, Enovia.
