Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY
To assist people with disabilities gain and maintain employment. Develop and provide support strategies associated with placing and supporting people with disabilities through employment in the community, focusing on the consumer working as independently as possible. To assist individuals with disabilities in securing long term employment positions and strengthen employer relationships through networking.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Develop community job leads for assigned individuals meeting their needs, desires and capabilities.
• Complete Monthly summaries for DVR/DDDS.
• Initiate and maintain ongoing personal contacts with a variety of business and industry representatives. Contacts must be done in a variety of ways including labor market analysis, on-line, face to face site visits, employer interviews, cold call contacts, informational interviews, group presentations and job developing with the consumer.
• Conduct informational interviews with employers.
• Collects data from employers related to job openings including job requirements and skills.
• Matches applicants to jobs, refers qualified applicants to employers and conducts necessary follow-up when applicants are placed in jobs.
• Provide job coaching services as needed.
• Record and document all activity with consumers and job search activity on their behalf in the form of case notes, job development logs and daily activity logs. Complete job development logs and case notes each day on Sharepoint or Therap.
• Attend networking opportunities with potential employers to obtain contact information.
• Attend and actively participate in business networking (BN) meetings, weekly or biweekly meetings with managers, attend initial job development meetings after consumer has completed assessments.
• Create resumes, register consumers with email accounts and complete job applications. Monitor and manage consumer's professional email accounts.
• Accompany, advocate and market consumer's skills at interviews. Assist consumers with travel and travel related issues such as coordinating travel and travel training.
• Promptly follow up with employers about applications and job openings.
• Effectively communicate with coworkers and consumers about all things that pertain to job development. Assist with the transition from Job Development to Employment.
• Analyze and develop support strategies that may be used by the consumer to do their job tasks. Emphasis on those most natural to the work place.
• Gather detailed information on each task the consumer is to complete, the type of assistance needed, strategies on fading and identify natural supports. This is to begin on the first day of work.
• Abide by all policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook and Service Delivery Handbook.

Must be fully vaccinated or in the process of getting fully vaccinated.
