Req #: 3919 Salary: $100,000 $134,000 Anticipated Contract Length: 3 years with potential for extension Project Overview: Craig Technologies is on the Bechtel and Northrop Grumman Corp. team preparing to deliver the U.S. Sentinel system of inter-continental ballistic missiles and launch infrastructure. Sentinel is a vital U.S. Air Force program designed to modernize the nation's aging force of inter-continental ballistic missiles, which make up the ground element of the nuclear deterrent. In this role, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project's electrical engineering aspects. You will lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical components and processes. Your recommendations will resolve technical issues and ensure uniquely complex requirements of a project's electrical engineering aspects are met. This position is for a Senior Electrical Engineer, located in Ogden, UT, who will prepare designs for electrical systems associated with DOD and USAF projects. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs. This role will specifically support the USAF Sentinel program Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase. Major Responsibilities

Evaluates, selects, and applies standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications Participates in the design, development and modification of components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines Coordinates electrical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups Prepares conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals Provides technical assistance to other electrical personnel and will interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues and industry codes and standards Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project electrical requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution Education and Experience Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant work experience. Must be a United States citizen. Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Required Knowledge and Skills

Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, drawings, calculations, and specifications for electrical systems and equipment on nuclear or industrial process facilities, data centers, central utility plants, or complex building electrical systems. US citizenship is required per contract requirement. Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance. Minimum qualifications include experience with Microsoft office programs, and other common computer programs. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to utilize engineering and office automation tools effectively. Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards. Broad knowledge of the application of electrical engineering design principles. Strong knowledge of electrical systems for part of, or all of, the responsibilities listed above. Strong understanding of engineering drawings, systems calculations, equipment sizing and cable sizing. Strong knowledge of power systems load modeling and analysis. Preferred Qualifications

Registered Professional Engineer in USA (Electrical Engineering). Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000. Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense. Experience executing engineering design with Smartplant 3D. Experience performing calculations with ETAP. Understanding of Mechanical and Process engineering discipline drawings and system calculations, as related to electrical design requirements. Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntact. Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide. Secret Clearance is preferred, but not required. The salary range for this role is $100,000 $134,000; however, Craig Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
