Juneau Construction Company is excited to grow our Scheduling Department with a Project Scheduler. This position will be based in our Atlanta, GA headquarters, and will support the entire Southeast footprint of Juneau Construction Company.
The Project Scheduler will develop and manage project schedules under the guidance of the Scheduling Manager. This role ensures that project schedules are accurate and updated regularly to reflect project progress and any changes.
Position Qualifications:
B.S. in Construction Management or related engineering discipline
Minimum of 3 years experience in scheduling or related field operations on Commercial Construction Projects over $50M average contract value
Proficiency with scheduling software, Primavera P6 preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in developing preliminary project schedules during preconstruction and early project stages with members of the project team. Review contract documents and perform quantity take-offs to develop durations based on production rates Identify individual tasks and assign appropriate durations based on internal historical production rate data and project team feedback. Coordinate with operations teams to review the scope of work, logistics, and project sequencing. Support teams on assigned projects by updating and maintaining project schedules, including identification of variances from original schedule. Conduct regular site visits to track progress and ensure schedule adherence. Identify potential scheduling issues and report issues and possible solutions to the Scheduling Manager. Monitor project milestones and provide early warning signs of potential delays to critical stakeholders. Assist in preparing schedules for delay/recovery presentations to owners and trade partners. Compile and present weekly status reports to the Senior Scheduling Manager using Juneau's standardized tracking mechanism Maintain accurate records of project schedules and updates. Participate in weekly project team meetings to review progress and address schedule-related items. Assist with creating and maintaining project-based templates, and standard operating procedures for consistent application across the organization. Participate in training sessions on scheduling software and procedures. Contribute to the continued growth of the Scheduling department by sharing insights and supporting team initiatives. Experience with traditional construction industry software similar to the following:
Microsoft Office Oracle Cloud Primavera P6 Scheduling software Procore Microsoft Teams Blue Beam editing software Physical Demands / Job Expectations:
Position may require extended periods of time sitting and/or standing, talking both in person and over technological avenues, lifting up to 30 lbs. as needed Position may require periodic travel within the Juneau Construction Company footprint to jobsites and additional office locations for various events as needed.
