***Only qualified .NET Web Developer candidates located near the Madison, WI area to be considered due to the position requiring an occasional onsite presence***
Required Education: • Requires a bachelor's or associates degree in area of specialty or 6+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Required Experience & Skills: • Writing Custom SQL (6 Years) • .NET MVC with C# (6 Years) • Full stack development (6 Years) • Experience with Wisconsin CARES system and familiarity with State of Wisconsin application systems (5 Years) • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Has provided production support to applications post-production (6 Years) • Experience writing clear and concise technical documentation and communication (5 Years) • Excellent clear and concise communication skills, written and verbally (6 Years) • Experience with .NET application and web application design patterns (6 Years) • Application development expertise using .NET MVC with C# and JavaScript (6 Years) • Full stack development experience (6 Years) • Experience using CSS and HTML, and writing JavaScript based responsive HTML 5 applications (6 Years) • Documenting technical requirements and design (6 Years) • Requirements analysis (6 Years) • Experience with the full SDLC and knowledge of project management principles (6 Years) • Experience with authentication and authorization techniques (6 Years) • Techniques for proactively prevent and reactively respond to security threats (5 Years) • Familiar with Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing concepts and methods (4 Years) • Experience performing unit and smoke tests (6 Years) • Experience with Bootstrap (6 Years) • Dataflow and structure modeling (6 Years) • MS SQL Server & SQL Client tools (6 Years)
Preferred Experience & Skills: • Familiar with TFS/Azure DevOps (3 Years) • Familiar with JIRA (3 Years) • Knowledge of VB.NET and ASP.NET Web Forms (3 Years) • Experience with source control using Git (5 Years)
Responsibilities: • The person in this position will work closely with the team in designing and developing the front end and server side of the web application • Project duties include requirements analysis, design, front-end and back-end web application development, testing, participation in interactive code reviews, and development using JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC with C#, with SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle databases • Expectations for this position are development of quality code using TDD, participation in active code reviews, sharing expertise, respectful communication, transparency, technical documentation, and the ability to perform production support • The senior level .NET Web Developer designs, develops, and implements web-based applications using .NET framework to support business requirements • Includes the use of related development technologies such as ASP.NET, MVC, .NET CORE and supported programming languages (e.g. C#, C++, bootstrap) and scripting languages (e.g. TypeScript, JavaScript) • Performs development of front-end and back-end development of web applications and web API's (webservices) • Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates documentation, and performs application coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
