Job Description
The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent care based on established standards. This role assumes an expanded responsibility, including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member duties while ensuring clinical excellence, service quality, and adherence to evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
Administer care to patients with high acuity conditions including stroke and neurosurgery cases. Perform neuro checks, manage EVDs, lumbar drains, and sub-dural drains. Administer intravenous medications, including 3% NS and Cardene drips. Monitor and manage arterial lines and post-operative care following carotid endarterectomy and aneurysm clipping/coiling. Assist with Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) insertions and VP shunts. Assess and manage seizure activities. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Two (2) years of nursing experience in Stepdown/PCU settings. Current New York RN License. BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association. Telemetry experience is required. Must have stepdown experience, particularly with neurosurgical patients. Availability to commit to a start date of 9/15 for 17 weeks, ending on 1/10/2026. Why ARMStaffing?
