Job Summary:
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to move, locate, stack, and count materials. You will play a key role in supporting production and warehouse operations by ensuring materials and products are handled efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Load, unload, move, and stack materials and finished products according to job orders and instructions.
Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure forklifts are in safe operating condition.
Conduct inventory counts and document material movement accurately.
Follow all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE and adhering to OSHA regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely material flow to production lines and shipping areas.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift certification.
Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail with good spatial awareness.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Basic math and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
