Job Summary

The Supervisor I, Clinic oversees the daily operations of a healthcare clinic, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality patient care, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. This position provides leadership to clinic staff, manages administrative and operational processes, and collaborates with providers to optimize clinic performance. The Supervisor I serves as a key resource for staff development, process improvement, and patient experience initiatives.

Essential Functions

Supervises daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and adherence to organizational policies.

Provides leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to clinic staff, fostering a collaborative and patient-focused environment.

Monitors staff schedules, assigns responsibilities, and ensures adequate staffing to meet patient care needs.

Oversees front desk, scheduling, and administrative functions to optimize efficiency and service delivery.

Collaborates with providers and clinical staff to enhance workflows and address operational challenges.

Assists with onboarding, training, and professional development for new and existing staff.

Monitors key performance metrics, including patient volume, wait times, and service quality, identifying areas for improvement.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies related to patient care, documentation, and confidentiality.

Addresses patient concerns and escalates complex issues as needed to maintain a positive patient experience.

Supports financial processes, including billing, charge capture, and supply management, to ensure fiscal responsibility.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Complies with all policies and standards.

Leadership Responsibilities

Supervision and Staff Management

Supervises, trains and oversees departmental staff.

Schedules employees to ensure effective use of resources. Consults with Manager or Director on staffing issues.

Assists with and contributes to performance evaluations and goal setting.

Strategic Planning and Financial Oversight

Assists in managing departmental budget ensuring cost-effective operations while maintain high quality service.

Monitors expenditures, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.

May contribute to evaluation and implementation of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

May contribute to development of departmental policies, procedures and protocols.

Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance

Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies.

May participate in audits, inspections and accreditation processes as applicable.

Follows established quality control practices to ensure accuracy, consistency and safety.

Collaboration and Communication

Works closely with leadership teams to coordinate and improve service delivery.

Stays up-to-date with industry advancements, new technologies, and regulatory changes.

Staff Responsibilities

May work in a staff role, when required. Ensures that duties and responsibilities are fulfilled while meeting all competencies established for that job.

Qualifications

Associate Degree or higher preferred

1-2 years of related experience in the profession required

1-2 years of previous leadership experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency with Google and Microsoft platforms, healthcare software systems, and data analysis tools.

Licenses and Certifications

Certification in healthcare management, medical office administration, or a related area preferred
