Job Summary Provide support to all housekeeping positions including room attendants, laundry attendants, lobby attendants, and other housepersons.

Job Tasks / Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Remove / collect soiled linens from rooms and drop in laundry chute or deliver to assigned area. Remove / collect trash from rooms and properly dispose according to procedures. Collect / empty trash from receptacles located throughout the hotel and the outside areas. May be assigned to pick up trash / debris in the parking lot. Inspect and clean guest vending areas throughout the hotel. Sweep and mop emergency stairwells and landings as well as railings and exit doors. May assist or be assigned to vacuum inside corridors if applicable. May clean elevators (if applicable), including tracks, chrome, stainless steel, and floor of elevator. May be assigned to wash windows per set schedule. Assist room attendant in making beds, cleaning rooms, and flipping mattresses as assigned. Deliver cribs, roll-aways, towels, and / or linen to guest rooms. May be assigned to patrol pool and / or exercise area in order to collect and empty trash, collect soiled linens, and provide general cleaning. May assist with collecting room service dishes from hallways and deliver to appropriate area. Assist in keeping storage areas and linen room clean, organized, and stocked. Report requested information to appropriate supervisor regarding tasks. Be constantly alert of any security and/or safety issues and notify supervisor of any perceived security and/or safety threats. Maintain an organized and clean work area; always practice safe work habits. Exhibit teamwork and cooperation by performing other duties as needed, required, asked, or directed.

Job Knowledge / Skills / Abilities/ Other Requirements Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures involved and the physical exertion required. Able to communicate with guest(s) and answer all possible inquiries regarding room, check-out procedure, local area, etc Able to complete appropriate work-related documents, i.e. housekeeping report, maintenance work orders Requires availability on weekends and / or holidays, possible overtime, and possibly alternating shift work.

Job Environment Primarily indoors or within hotel facilities Requires walking and standing for entire shift Some light to moderate lifting required; 25 lbs. Frequent reaching, bending, stretching, stooping, squatting, kneeling.
