80.00 Shift : Monday - Friday Location : 1324 Lakeland Hills Blvd Lakeland, FL Pay Rate : Min $18.28 Mid $22.85Position Summary The Claims Coordinator works closely with the Associate Vice President/Deputy General Counsel and LRH's panel of outside defense counsel, under the leadership of the Manager - Resolution Services, to oversee and coordinate all administrative aspects of potential, open, and closed malpractice and general liability claims. This includes management of discovery requests, maintaining internal claims summaries, managing the organization's Loss/Run, assisting with scheduling team member and employed provider interviews and depositions. This role also assists with the organization's subpoena processes and answering phones within Resolution Services.

Knows and adheres to organizational and department policies and procedures. Standard Work: Claims Coordinator Manage and delegate all discovery requests for the organization, as well as subpoenas. Create, modify & ensure compliance with LRH's Defense Attorney billing requirements and expectations. Maintain and update trial and mediation calendar. Coordinate and maintain information for Risk Managers/Deputy General Counsel to assist with mediation preparation, trial appearances, Executive Claims Committee meetings, etc. Liaison between defense counsel and LRH staff/providers for all claims functions. Answers calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining calendar related to all claims activities. Maintain paper and digital files of potential, open and closed claims, including maintaining updated Executive Claims Summaries on all open claims. Assist with annual insurance audits. Manage LRH's loss run including all Indemnity and Expense payments for productions to the Actuary, Broker, and Reinsurers Assist with answering Resolution Services phones, when time permits
Competencies & Skills Essential:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to work under deadline pressure and handle a high volume of work accurately Excellent organizational and customer relations skills Proficient typing skills Ability to read and interpret legal documents Ability to accurately create and maintain complex statistical and financial data in required formats
Qualifications & Experience Essential: High School or Equivalent
Experience Preferred: Prior experience in a law firm or legal practice.
Certifications Preferred: Certified Legal Assistant or Paralegal
