is dedicated to providing quality education and prepare our children and community for the future. We are seeking a compassionate and highly motivated High School Counselor to join our team and help guide our students academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

Academic

Oversees the academic progress of all 7-12 students. Monitors the progress of seniors towards graduation requirements. Coordinate credit recovery options. Oversees student registration and scheduling/schedule changes, and assists in developing the master schedule. Oversees PSEO and concurrent enrollment eligibility, applications, and related paperwork. Case Manager for 7-12 504 Plans. Oversees the scholarship program Communicates with teachers and parents regarding student needs. Serves as a liaison for parents whose students are experiencing difficulties succeeding in school. Assist in the development and documentation of student interventions. Assist teachers with Infinite Campus support (gradebook setup, new teacher training, and student reports).

Social Emotional

Limited social/emotional counseling.

Post-Secondary Planning

Oversee Post-Secondary student plans. Oversee the implementation of MCIS in Advisory classrooms. Coordinate visits of post-secondary representatives. Coordinate career exploration opportunities for students. Coordinate financial aid presentations.

Qualifications: Master's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Valid state certification or license as a School Counselor. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and staff. Experience working with high school students in an educational setting preferred. Knowledge of Infinite Campus is preferred.
