In this role, you will assist pharmacists and pharmacy staff in delivering top-notch customer service while adhering to state and federal regulations.
Key Objectives:
Provide exceptional patient experiences by assisting the pharmacy team in compliance with relevant regulations.
Utilize pharmacy systems to gather patient and drug information and help process prescriptions.
Deliver a distinctive customer experience and learn the best practices of pharmacy operations.
Foster relationships with customers while gaining insights into pharmacy policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
Engage with customers by greeting them and offering assistance with pharmacy products and services.
Model customer service best practices, ensuring a delightful experience for each visitor.
Learn from pharmacy professionals and develop skills in patient care and services.
Assist pharmacists with prescription processing, including entering data and handling patient counseling when appropriate.
Immediately report any prescription errors to the pharmacist and comply with all pharmacy protocols to ensure quality care.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering and storing medications.
Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department, ensuring it is well-stocked and orderly.
Complete training and keep up with ongoing industry developments to enhance your skills.
The position offers flexible hours and valuable experience in a retail pharmacy environment. The salary range for this role is $16.50 to $25.00 per hour, depending on factors such as geography, skills, education, and experience.
Qualifications:
Must be an enrolled student in a pharmacy program.
Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is required.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred: Six months of retail experience, preferably within a pharmacy setting, strong math skills for prescription filling.
