Job Description
The Hatfield Rally House is a brand-new, climate-controlled 58,000 sq. ft. indoor tennis and pickleball facility opening in November 2025. We serve athletes of all ages and skill levels with a variety of offerings including court rentals, lessons, leagues, and tournaments. We’re building a welcoming, energetic environment where great service and great sports go hand-in-hand.
Part-Time Maintenance Technician supports the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Hatfield Rally House by performing routine facility upkeep, equipment repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks. This position does not involve janitorial or custodial responsibilities — the focus is strictly on technical maintenance, repair, and facility functionality.
Key Responsibilities Facility & Equipment Maintenance
Perform minor repairs on sports courts, lighting, nets, doors, and other facility fixtures.
Assist with basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC upkeep under supervision or in coordination with vendors.
Monitor and maintain recreational equipment to ensure safe, optimal performance.
Preventative Maintenance
Conduct regular inspections of building systems, grounds, and equipment.
Assist in implementing preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Event & Operational Support
Prepare facility equipment and systems for special events or programming needs.
Assist with setup, teardown, and adjustments to equipment layouts when needed.
Safety & Compliance
Identify and report potential hazards or safety concerns immediately to the Director of Operations
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, and local safety regulations during all maintenance work.
Vendor Coordination
Support Director of Operations in meeting contractors on-site for specialized repairs or inspections.
Help track inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
Qualifications
Previous maintenance or handyman , especially in sports, recreation, or hospitality
environments.
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
Ability to safely operate tools and equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and follow direction.
Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends for urgent repairs.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working on ladders and in varying indoor/outdoor conditions.
Hours & Compensation:
Part-time, approximately 15–20 hours per week (flexible schedule).
Hourly wage $18-$26 based on experience.
