Marine Insulators

Position Overview:
As a Commercial or Marine Insulator, you will be responsible for applying, removing, and repairing insulation on various industrial piping systems and components. Your attention to detail and high-quality workmanship will be critical to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities: Apply molded pipe sections to steam pipes such as main steam, auxiliary steam, HPD, and LPD. Install temperature and block insulation on equipment, including turbines, pumps, and similar components. Install, remove, and repair molded insulation such as calcium silicate and template, along with finishing cement on piping systems of varying sizes (e.g., 1x1, 2x1, 3x2, 5x2, 8x3, 10x3, 24x4). Ensure high-quality workmanship by cutting accurate miters, applying fiberglass cloth smoothly, and using proper adhesive application techniques while protecting adjacent surfaces. Understand and apply insulation materials for different temperature ranges (hot, cold) on pipes, tanks, ducts, machinery, and hulls. Qualifications:
Experience:
3-5 years of proven experience as a Commercial or Marine Insulator. Skills:
Expertise in installing and repairing molded insulation, including calcium silicate and temperature. Knowledge of insulation techniques for a variety of industrial systems. Quality Focus:
Demonstrated ability to achieve high-quality workmanship with attention to detail in insulation and finishing processes. Work Environment:
You will work in commercial and industrial environments, performing insulation tasks on various piping systems, equipment, and vessels. Projects may involve work in shipyards, aboard ships, or industrial facilities.
