Use of correct blood collection tubes, ordering correct test from requisitions.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: High School, GED or formal education equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: 1 year experience working in a clinical laboratory or as a medical assistant CPR, CAN, PBT, MLA, or CPT Certification
Additional Information: Job Requirements: Assist with periodic inventory counts, report shortages and problems to supervisor or manager as they occur. Perform non-patient facing duties such as stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email as appropriate. Match identifiers to information on requisition and labels. Obtain blood from patient using proper phlebotomy techniques for clinical or medical testing, transfusions, donation, or research. Resolve specimen and patient problems as they arise. Follows all UAMS Department of Pathology Policies and Procedures for blood collection. Obtains patient specimens at an acceptable rate.
