Job Description
Lighting Technician for installation projects in a range of venues including professional theaters, university theaters, schools, houses of worship, casinos, and more. This important position requires knowledge of the technical theatre/event industry, equipment, and processes. This knowledge should include theatrical lighting, dimming, & controls experience. Other desirable skills & experiences include: ETCP certification; manufacturer-specific training; architectural lighting systems; theatrical rigging systems; computers and networks; lighting paperwork including plots, submittals, and CAD drawings.
Responsibilities include installation site work, shop work, interfacing with engineers & construction managers, end-user training, and overall customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual interested in diverse venues and working with a strong team of dedicated professionals.
This position is initially on a project-by-project (part-time) basis, with the intention of evolving into a full-time role. Position will require regular travel to job locations throughout New York State and neighboring states. Travel and accommodation are covered by the company. The ideal candidate should be based in Central NY or Western NY.

Experience & Educational Requirements
Background in Film, Theater, or Broadcast Industries Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam or other CAD software The ability to work independently or as part of a team Safe practices when dealing with high voltage Computer literate with data entry experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
