is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated
Senior Local Procurement Buyer
who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Batesburg, SC. Responsibilities Ensure contract compliance by implementing procurement actions to resolve supplier issues (payment terms, variation orders, contract clauses) in collaboration with global commodity units, as needed Lead local procurement activities during bidding and execution in accordance with the Americas Region procurement commodity strategy Support the preparation of the Local Procurement Annual Operating Plan for projects/bids Support implementation and compliance with company processes and rules for the assigned geographic area Define and implement the Local category/commodity sourcing strategy including strategic alliances and pre-bid tie ups Implement RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and projections to support bid preparations for relevant local procurement commodity category in line with internal processes Monitor and control procurement risk for the assigned local procurement activities Scout suppliers to monitor and establish potential new supplier options, providing price lists/catalogues and capability benchmarking Monitor and report economic and financial figures budgeted vs actual savings for each assigned local commodity/category Implement all procurement activities for the relevant local commodity/category according to the supply plan and project schedule Provide monthly reports on cost savings and mitigation plans Ensure the completeness of sourcing documentation checklists
Required Skills / Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement Commercial negotiations and analytical experience Experience with supplier qualification processes and methods Experience with reporting Experience with purchasing processes and procedures Experience with IT tools including MS Office, SAP and eAuctions Cost controlling and budgeting concepts and basics experience
Desired Skills / Experience
Experience in the procurement of manufacturing components such as parts
