The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

The Funds team in services organization develops and supports a platform that provides client reporting and feeds other downstream applications within Citi. It provides reporting such as real-time transactions, positions and end of day valuation, positions and balances for external clients and internal users. A major ongoing initiative is to modernize the existing platform and to build out a consolidated and scalable platform to provide scale and to enhance product offerings and new business requirements.

Our Technology supports a rapidly growing business that uses technological innovation to maintain competitive advantage in a constantly evolving market. Working closely with the business, external vendors and internal technology teams, you would manage complex projects that will involve everything from incorporating a new functionality within the existing ecosystem, to analysing new requirements, documenting solutions, managing implementation and testing systems, ensuring that they are fit for purpose.

Roles and Responsibilities

Work on data principles, data integrity, reference data, data model version, and metadata standards for a data platform

Collaborate with Product, business and development to address data issues and data feed changes

Collaborate with architecture and business users to review architecture design, evaluate technology tools, and technical solutions to influence business decisions

Lead to execute data management strategy, define data quality measures, develop automated data validation control process using programing languages and tools, and dashboard monitoring process with automated alerts

Identify critical data elements, create data catalog and data lineage for reporting and downstream data feeds

Evaluate and review overall data flow adhering with data architecture standards, review with stakeholders, and enhance data governance oversight with change management process

Assess complex data flows, and identify opportunities to simplify end-to-end data process

Perform data and business process analysis to identify data issues and root causes, and implement resolutions

Collaborate with Support to troubleshoot urgent production data issues and implement fixes

Contribute design and development of technical and business solutions for data and reporting

Engage with a global engineering teams and business partners to create business and functional requirements and solutions.

Collaborate with senior global development teams, cross functional teams, business and technology Stakeholders, and QA team to develop, track and report. Led project plans with cross program interdependencies for end-to-end implementation

Develop scalable and resilient data pipelines with real-time and batch processes into data warehouse

Support reporting application and downstream changes and testing

Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development and design.

Expertise in scalable data and event-driven enterprise architecture design, data management and data strategy.

Strong experience in leading the implementation of enterprise data architecture and data engineering utilizing best engineering practices

Strong experience in design data management solutions and implementing including data control, data lineage, data catalogue, and security access

Deep expertise in modern data engineering and data integration architecture and technology

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and management

Proven ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques and execute plan

Passion and commitment for process and design simplification

Hands-on experience in data pipelines for batch and events -driven data process

Hands-on development experience with traditional and modern data systems (relational/non-relational databases, cloud/big data platform, ETL/ELT, data catalogue and data quality/control tools) and data mesh technology

Experience in data modeling for a large data warehouse, operational and analytical data stores

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and management

Experience data science/machine learning in a plus

Innovative mindset and can-do attitude to work under pressure

Experience working in financial services

Experience in data pipeline and integration using Java, Python, Airflow, ETL tools like Abinitio, Dataiku, DataStage etc. and able to perform performance tuning

Experience in AI/ML

Machine Learning frameworks like Weka, Deeplearning4j, or TensorFlow Java API

- Deep Learning architectures like CNNs, RNNs, or Transformers

- Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and libraries like Stanford CoreNLP or OpenNLP

Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master's degree preferred
