Co-Occurring Addictions Counselor .

We are seeking compassionate professionals dedicated to improving lives through substance use disorder (SUD) counseling, prevention education, and recovery support services. You'll work with youth, adults, families, and schools to deliver evidence-based care in a setting that honors culture, traditions, and community strengths.

What You'll Do:

As a

Co-Occurring Addictions Counselor , you'll work in a supportive and collaborative environment rooted in cultural humility, integrity and compassion. In this role, you'll:

Provide one-on-one, group, and family counseling using approved treatment modalities. Develop personalized treatment plans and conduct timely assessments and documentation. Deliver prevention education and outreach in tribal, school, and community settings. Support Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and collaborate across departments for holistic care. Promote long-term recovery through alumni and peer engagement activities. What You Bring:

PTHA serves the Puyallup Tribal community and surrounding Indigenous populations. We seek applicants who demonstrate a deep respect for Indigenous culture, histories, and healing traditions. Cultural humility, curiosity, and willingness to learn from others are essential. Additionally, candidates must meet the following (depending on level):

Addictions Counselor I (Trainee):

SUDP-T trainee certification, enrolled in an apprenticeship program and (1) year experience providing SUD counseling services Addictions Counselor II:

SUDP-T trainee certification, associate's degree in related field and (1) year experience providing SUD counseling services Addictions Counselor III:

SUDP certification, bachelor's degree in related field and (2) years' experience providing SUD counseling services Co-Occurring Counselor I:

SUDP-T trainee certification ,

associate-level mental health state licensure, master's degree in counseling or related field and (2) years experience providing SUD counseling services Co-Occurring Counselor II:

Full licensure in at least one specialty (SUD or mental health) and trainee or associate-level certification/license in the other, master's degree in counseling or related field and (2) years experience providing SUD counseling services Co-Occurring Counselor III:

SUDP certification ,
