Travel Experience: Patient Ratios:
The ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 in the ICU and 1:4 in the PCU. The charge nurse does take an assignment. Patient Population:
The unit treats adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old. Common diagnoses include neuro-surgery, respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, and renal failure. Skills:
RNs must be able to titrate drips (vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics) and read and interpret their own cardiac monitor strips. The unit uses Draeger heart monitoring. Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are all required. Charting System:
Experience with
EPIC
is required. Floating:
Floating to all inpatient units is required, excluding Maternity/NICU. Job ID About Nationwide Therapy Group
