Internship Summary:

The Process Engineering Intern will support key operational and improvement initiatives across the plant, gaining hands-on experience in utility systems, energy mapping, and project execution. Responsibilities include developing ISO drawings for utility routing, identifying major routes and equipment, and implementing a clear labeling system for main utilities. The intern will lead a small-scale plant improvement project and assist in defining the scope and design of a sustainability-focused initiative. Additional duties involve mapping energy usage throughout the facility and supporting project planning and Management of Change activities in preparation for the 2026 Turnaround scheduled for the second half of the year. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to real-world engineering challenges while working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic industrial environment.

The paid internship will be 13 weeks in duration for the summer of 2026 with flexible start dates. Student interns must be able to work full-time.

The internship will be split between a major project and daily tasks.

Housing will not be provided for the internship Responsibilities:

Develop ISO drawings for utility routing, identifying key routes and major equipment, and implement a clear and concise labeling system for main utilities

Lead a small-scale plant improvement initiative from planning through execution

Define the scope and design of a sustainability-focused project

Analyze and map energy usage throughout the plant to support efficiency efforts

Assist with project support and Management of Change activities in preparation for the 2026 Turnaround scheduled for the second half of the year

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.

Pursuing a B.S. in an engineering discipline, Mechanical or Chemical preferred

Completed at least two years of college education before beginning internship

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative

Strong academic performance minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy

Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity.

Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.

Must successfully pass pre-employment screening process.

Must be at least 18 years of age
