Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a Manager to join our ASC Team!

Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Manager of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) oversees the overall administrative, operational, and clinical functions of the center. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory standards, supports high-quality patient care, enhances operational efficiency, and promotes a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The Manager leads clinical and administrative staff, monitors financial performance, and collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver excellent surgical services.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration
Manage daily operations of the ASC, including scheduling, staffing, patient flow, and resource distribution. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards (e.g., AAAHC, Joint Commission, CMS). Create and implement policies, procedures, and workflows that promote patient safety and efficient care delivery. Coordinate maintenance of equipment, supplies, and facility operations. Financial Management
Manage operating and capital budgets, including expense control, revenue cycle oversight, and financial reporting. Monitor productivity and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability. Work closely with billing and coding teams to ensure accurate charge capture and reimbursement. Clinical & Quality Oversight
Support clinical leadership in maintaining high standards of patient care. Ensure compliance with infection prevention, risk management, and quality assurance programs. Lead quality improvement initiatives and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient outcomes, satisfaction, and safety metrics. Leadership & Staff Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other providers to optimize case volumes and patient outcomes. Address patient concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction with care and service. Promote the ASC as a center of excellence in outpatient surgical care. Physician & Patient Relations

Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive healthcare management experience, with at least 2 years in surgical services or ambulatory care. Strong knowledge of ASC regulations, reimbursement, and accreditation standards. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, billing, and revenue cycle management. Working Conditions
Full-time, on-site role with occasional evening or weekend hours based on operational needs. May involve direct clinical oversight depending on licensure and staffing model. Fast-paced healthcare environment requiring multitasking and decision-making under pressure.
