Summary:
The Warehouse Driver will be responsible for delivering project materials and equipment to job sites throughout Southern California.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for transporting stock from the warehouse to construction job sites. Assist in the loading of trucks and trailers to prepare for transit. Unload material and equipment at the job site to the appropriate receiver. Provide delivery updates to warehouse management and Foreman throughout the day as requested. Create paperwork if none is provided from the job site. Assist in the inspection and light maintenance of company vehicles to ensure safe use, as directed. Ensure all tools distributed to a job site are in proper working order and are complete with all accessories, and check that they are returned in the same condition. Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and material according to production schedules. Provide back-up warehouse operations support as needed, such as stocking, staging, and inventory management. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION:
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience 2+ years of driving experience in a commercial-size vehicle (15'+ trailer) 1+ year of warehouse operations experience is required Reliable and predictable attendance is required Forklift experience is a plus Class A driver's license is a plus POSITION REQUIRES:
Lifting, pushing, pulling over 25 pounds Repetitive bending and stooping
