Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant-DH Physician GI - Full-Time

Job Description: PURPOSE OF JOB: Provide comprehensive healthcare services to adult GI patients in the hospital and outpatient settings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide patient care to GI patients in the in-patient and outpatient setting. Perform and supervise clinical area using multiple modalities in the in-patient and outpatient settings Able to communicate effectively with providers, patients, nurses and other support staff verbally, in writing and/or via EMR. Maintain accurate EMR records and documentation. Provide support to the office clinical staff in regards to patient care and educational needs. Job Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

If PA: 1. Bachelor of Science degree in a physical science from an accredited institution required

2. Current Physician Assistant licensure in Pennsylvania

3. NCCPA certified

4. Prescriptive authority determined by supervising physician- (newly hired has 30 days to obtain)

5. CPR & BLS

If NP: 1. Masters of Nursing degree from an accredited institution required

2. Current Pennsylvania licensure required:

- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

- Registered Nurse (RN)

- Prescriptive Authority

3. Board certified NP or board eligible NP

4.CPR & BLS
