Summary:
The Compensation and Benefits Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation, benefits, and recognition programs that align with the company's business goals and support a high-performance culture. This role will ensure our total rewards offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices, particularly within the food manufacturing sector.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Management
Develop and manage salary structures, incentive plans, and job evaluation processes. Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure competitiveness. Partner with HR and business leaders to support compensation decisions and workforce planning. Benefits Administration
Oversee the administration of health, wellness, retirement, and other employee benefit programs. Evaluate and recommend changes to benefits offerings based on employee needs and market trends. Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ACA, ERISA). Recognition & Rewards
Design and implement employee recognition programs that reinforce company values and culture. Monitor program effectiveness and employee engagement metrics. Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefits laws. Prepare and analyze reports related to compensation, benefits, and workforce demographics. HR Systems & Analytics
Leverage HRIS and data analytics to drive insights and support decision-making. Lead or support projects related to HR technology and process improvements. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Will supervise up to 2 direct reports Perform other Duties as Assigned

Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; (Master's degree or CCP certification preferred). 5+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits regulations and best practices. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful compensation and benefit strategies and programs. Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis tools. Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication, project management and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and other stakeholders Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong supervisory and leadership skills Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate Ability to function well in a high-paced environment Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as HRIS systems such as Paylocity, ADP, Workday, Ceridian, etc Travel:
Travel to site locations within the region as needed
Work Conditions
Hybrid remote work with 2 days working from home after a few weeks of onboarding.

Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. Work environment is normally in an office setting. Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
