We are seeking a
Pavement Maintenance Technician (PMT)
for our
North New Jersey
crew.
As the
Pavement Maintenance Technician (PMT) , you will perform a wide variety of projects for various clients across our region.
This is a seasonal position, that begins mid-April and continues through the end of November with the opportunity of some winter work.
Working hours are 40-50 hours per week with night, weekends and overtime work required.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
● Use equipment to perform line painting, asphalt crack filling and sealcoating, power washing, epoxy flooring and more
● Plan and facilitate the production of a high-quality project
● Communicate job status daily with the Operations Manager
● Maintain a safe, hazard-free job site
● Additional tasks as required
WHAT YOU BRING
A New Jersey driver’s license with a clean driving record (Driver’s Abstract is required) and a reliable mode of transportation
Understand & solve Algebra level mathematics.
You are Self-Motivated, willing to learn and grow with us.
Mechanically inclined (small gas engines & tool maintenance knowledge)
Creative problem solver
You have a sense of urgency to work efficiently
Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending and lifting (up to 75lbs)
Ability to work Overnight/rotating shifts/on-call as needed
Willing to work overtime if needed
Able to pass a background check for government contracted jobs
Ability to work well independently unsupervised
Duties
Wear proper attire and employer-issued PPE (safety glasses, vests, gloves)
Safely operate equipment including but not limited to: Truck & Trailer, Line Stripers, Sealcoating Machine, Pressure Washer, Crack Sealing Machine, Concrete Saw & Asphalt Roller.
Fill out company reports as needed
Be a team player
Keep company trucks clean after use
Use mathematic skills for new layouts
Ability to understand & interpret blue prints/project plans
Communicate with operations manager and other crew members
