About the Role
This position reports to the Executive Director of Medical Communications and is integral in providing strategic leadership for the Publications and Independent Medical Education (IME) operations, ensuring that department responsibilities align with corporate directives and regulatory standards.
Your Contributions:
Lead the development and execution of strategic publication and IME plans across all Neurocrine clinical programs and therapeutic areas.
Collaborate with external authors and internal stakeholders to produce scientifically robust manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and abstracts for significant scientific congresses.
Work with scientific and medical experts to create accurate and balanced publications that support our medical strategy.
Manage vendors and consultants to enhance our medical writing capabilities.
Oversee department and project teams, mentoring personnel and guiding initiatives effectively.
Ensure all publications comply with company standards and facilitate stakeholder involvement in the approval process.
Select, develop, and evaluate personnel for optimal functionality of the division.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements:
PhD or PharmD with 10+ years in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry, preferably with experience in neuroscience disorders, or an MD with 5+ years in similar roles.
Previous managerial experience is essential.
Exceptional written communication skills, particularly in publication and medical writing.
In-depth knowledge of publication practices, regulatory guidelines, and trends in healthcare compliance.
Ability to critically analyze data, manage cross-functional projects, and effectively communicate complex medical information.
Expertise in neuroscience disorders.
Recognized as an internal thought leader, demonstrating technical and business acumen.
Ability to tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions that have cross-functional implications.
Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and internal teams.
Proficient with presentation tools and software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $183,200.00 - $265,150.00, influenced by factors such as work location, role complexity, job responsibilities, and relevant experience. Additionally, this position offers an annual bonus target of 35% of the base salary and eligibility for participation in our long-term equity incentive program.
