PCB Manager – Electronics Manufacturing
Location: Rochester Hills, MI (On-site)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00/4:30 PM
Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $100K–$110K (Based on Experience)
Team Size: Managing a team of 4–5
PCB Manager
We are seeking a PCB Manager to lead the manufacturing process and production of all electronics, including Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), cable, and harness assembly.
1. Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages and oversees the PCB manufacturing team and area, including evaluating manufacturing methods and developing work instructions
Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization
Determines the parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications
Works on projects and connects with customers on design and requirements specifications
Responsible for meeting customer requirements, process analytics, and measurable goals
Quotes labor time, AOI, programming, ICT, and other production costs
Analyzes customer documents, specifications, and Gerber files
2. Knowledge/Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Minimum of 5+ years in PCBA manufacturing processes
IPC 610 certification required; knowledge of IPC 620 is a plus
Knowledge of quality standards such as IPC 620, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 is a plus
Experience with project management and SWOT analysis
ERP knowledge (Epicor preferred) is a plus
3. Skills:
Ability to analyze Gerber files
Identify and apply PCB stencil designs
Create PCB panel drawings
Operate selective solder and wave solder equipment
Perform machine maintenance and calibrations (SMT line, Fuji, Soltec, Wash, etc.)
Reflow oven profiling
Design and create test fixtures
Use of multimeter
Optimize process flows and implement procedures
Strong communication and team-building skills
Proficient in Excel and Word
Quick learner with a passion for manufacturing and customer service
Self-motivated and results-driven
Professional-level verbal and written communication skills
