Be hands-on in the design, evaluate, and maintain Electrical/Electromechanical products and systems. Provide expertise in product safety compliance, evaluation, testing, and maintenance of certification of product designs.

Supports or leads multiple projects concurrently. Determine the applicability of /international codes and standards for the product being tested and evaluated. Coordinate testing to determine compliance with applicable US, Canadian, and other international product safety standards, writing reports, and communicating with agency and engineering. Testing at a corporate lab or at any certification body.Coordinate testing with Lab engineers - Core tests include power input or rating, leakage current, dielectric, temperature, endurance, transients, variable ambient, humidity, pressure, stability, mechanical hazard, flammability, and abnormal operations.e

Familiarity with high voltage circuits (460VAC/230VAC) as well as control voltage circuits (24VDC and 120VAC) Knowledge of industrial components such as PLC’s, motor starters, VFD’s, HMI’s, and other electrical devices is required. Know automation, electronics, materials, equipment design, human-machine-interface systems, PCB component design. Create assembly and sub-assembly electrical drawings and release to production.

SKILL SETS" SolidWorks Ability to layout PCB components per design using electronic design automation (EDA) software. Capable of designing and building functional test fixtures, wiring harnesses, and wiring schematics. Writing embedded software is a plus (C and/or C++).

Minimum experience and educational requirements: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. 5-8 years of relevant work experience. An MSEE could be considered instead of 1-2 years of required experience.
