macOS Applications Engineer
Production Design Team This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Cupertino, CA. Summary We're seeking a creative and resourceful macOS developer to support a large internal tools project. This role focuses on extending and modernizing internal applications that streamline content creation workflows for design and production teams. You'll play a key role in building new features, fixing bugs, and ensuring seamless integration across legacy and modern codebases. Our Ideal Candidate 3-5 years of experience in macOS development
Passion for engineering with a strong foundation in Objective-C, Swift, and SwiftUI
Proficient in macOS development tools, with strong debugging and testing skills
Familiar with Swift/Objective-C interoperability, AppKit, and modern development best practices
Skilled in collaborating with creative and production teams to understand workflows and technical needs
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Flexible and adaptable to changing timelines and stakeholder feedback
Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and thoughtful in QA and issue-tracking processes
Job Description In this role, you will implement new features, test existing code, and fix bugs within a large, complex macOS tools project. You'll partner with creative design and production teams to deliver high-quality internal tools that improve content creation workflows. This includes extending existing macOS applications, integrating modern Swift code with a large Objective-C codebase, and ensuring clean, maintainable, and stable implementations. You will also support ongoing QA, perform quick-turnaround bug fixes, and contribute to the overall success of the engineering and production teams. Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Background in macOS software development with Swift and Objective-C
Experience with large-scale, complex projects involving legacy codebases
Preferred: Experience working directly with creative or production teams
Additional Requirements
This opportunity is located in Cupertino, CA and requires hybrid on-site work
The pay for this W-2 position ranges from
$62.55 per hour
This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements
