Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float position with night shifts, TN or compact license, and required EKG testing.
Responsibilities Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry Float unit Float to various Med/Surg and Telemetry units as required Patient ratios are 1:6-8, may use a team nursing model Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 Weekend requirement includes every other weekend or at least two weekends per month Uses Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication system Floating is required according to facility policy Must complete modules during orientation and annually as required No blocked scheduling requests will be accommodated Requests for time off during major holidays or holiday weeks will not be approved RTO cannot occur within 14 days of start and is limited to 7 days Candidates must not have worked as perm staff at the same campus within the past 24 months Joint Commission-compliant floating and orientation provided for new units Team members related by birth or marriage cannot work on the same unit
Requirements Active TN or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Travel RN experience is required for all specialties BLS certification (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required Ability to pass EKG testing before start date ACLS certification preferred Certifications and licensure must not expire within 45 days of start date Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
