The Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition (NWBCCC) is a 51-year old, member-led grassroots organization that unites individuals and institutions for racial justice and economic democracy through intergenerational organizing to transform the Bronx and beyond. We organize around health, housing, education, environmental justice, community and economic development, and other issues impacting our communities. As we expand our borough-wide presence, we are investing in strong internal infrastructure to sustain and scale our work.
Position Summary
We are seeking an organized and proactive Grants Manager to support the NWBCCC to strengthen our fundraising and grant management processes. The Grants Manager will work closely with the Executive Director, Chief of Staff, and Executive Assistant to manage the responsibilities of this position.
Key Responsibilities
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Organize and maintain systems to track deadlines, deliverables, and funding requirements Coordinate internal timelines and lead project management for all stages of the grant cycle - from opportunity identification through submission, reporting, and renewal
FUNDER AND PROPOSAL COORDINATION
Research, identify, and vet new funding opportunities (foundations, government, corporate, etc.) Lead coordination with key staff across departments to gather relevant materials, including budgets, project reporting, and success stories for proposals and reports Draft initial grant materials in partnership with key staff for review and approval by Executive Director Manage logistics and preparation for funder meetings and site visits
GRANTS COMPLIANCE AND REPORTING
Ensure timely submission of reports and compliance documents, including registrations, contract execution, and post-award follow up Work in coordination with Fiscal Assistant to maintain funder files and financial documentation Track reporting metrics and ensure program staff have access to relevant information
Requirements Minimum 2-5 years of experience in grants management, development operations, or comparable role involving project and deadline coordination Exceptional organizational and time management skills, detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in simple and persuasive language Thorough research and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and independently Deep alignment with NWBCCC’s mission and values, including commitment to racial, gender, and economic justice Conversant in the following topics and fields: community and economic development, urban planning, social justice, community organizing, or related area Experience working with technology platforms including project management (e.g. Asana) and online database systems (e.g. Airtable) Familiar with the Bronx and New York City non-profit and public sector landscapes This is a 100% in-person position in the Bronx, NY Compensation:
$60,000-75,000 based on level of demonstrated experience. Strong benefits, including health and life insurance, tax-sheltered retirement plan, and generous vacation package.
