We are looking for a motivated and dynamic self-starter to be a part of our team as a Senior Complex Claims Consultant. In this role, you will handle complex Directors & Officers claims for Community Associations, playing a crucial role in evaluating coverage, assessing liability and damages, and directing litigation.
The Consultant works independently with general direction, managing high complexity claims while coordinating resolution activities that adhere to established company standards. You will communicate regularly with insureds to provide updates and assure quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complex commercial claims, employing specialized expertise to verify policy coverage and develop resolution strategies.
Deliver exceptional customer service by effectively managing claims, ensuring timely updates and addressing inquiries promptly.
Collaborate with coverage counsel on intricate claims to verify coverage and set precise reserves based on policy language.
Lead thorough investigations to verify liabilities and covered damages, collecting pertinent documentation and testimonies.
Work alongside internal and external partners to devise and execute effective claim resolution strategies, including settlement negotiations and litigation management.
Establish and oversee claim budgets, ensuring quality service and timely resolution.
Identify subrogation and salvage opportunities while addressing potential fraud by evaluating claims thoroughly.
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and stay informed on current insurance laws and trends.
Mentor and train less experienced claims team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; Juris Doctor is preferred.
A minimum of six years in claims management, particularly in Professional Liability or D&O claims.
Possess or obtain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire, where needed.
Strong negotiation skills with proven success in resolving complex disputes.
Knowledge of commercial insurance products and the ability to interpret complex policy language.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, with opportunities available in various locations near CNA offices. The average base pay range for this role typically falls between $83,000 and $160,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
