Volunteer opportunity for 50th anniversary of CTVNetwork

Volunteers are needed to assist at the 50th anniversary celebration of the Community Television Network on Thursday, October 9. The celebration will be held at St. Augustine College Atrium, 1345 West Argyle, Chicago. Parking is available on site, and the venue is served by public transportation. The event is a reception which will provide light bites and drinks for our guests. There will also be videos highlighting the 50 years of CTVN activities. We are asking volunteers to welcome our guests, as well as serve refreshments and aid in clean-up. The event will start at 6pm and continue to 8pm. Volunteers will be needed from 5pm to 9pm. What is CTVN? It is a non-profit that empowers urban minority youth by providing access to and training in digital medial arts. Since its founding in 1974, over 20,100 Chicago youth have participated in CTVN's media literacy programs. Each year, CTVN youth and their work are recognized in youth media competitions and film festivals across the nation.
