The contractor shall provide IT Infrastructure support services, which includes Tier 1 Help Desk, Tier 2 End User Support, Tier 3 Server, Platform, and Network Infrastructure Support and Engineering. Services shall include, but are not limited to, technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues; incident and problem resolution; service request management; infrastructure monitoring and support; hardware and software lifecycle support; and management of escalation across all tiers. Position Description:
Manage and maintain the virtualized IT infrastructure to ensure its stability, performance, and security. Administer on-prem and cloud hosted environments, resolving virtualization-related issues, and supporting NCUA IT initiatives. Oversight of on-prem hardware infrastructure (e.g., servers and storage), the on-prem hypervisor environment (e.g., VMWare, vSphere), and CSP infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure. Contributes to the automation oof infrastructure deployment and the integration of IaC into CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities:
Maintaining and optimizing virtualized IT infrastructure, including VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud platforms. Proactive monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, implementing patching and updates, and ensuring security and business continuity through robust backup and disaster recovery plans. Requirements
Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 3-5 yrs experience in virtualization administration, with a focus on VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies. Demonstrated experience in managing and troubling shooting VMware vSphere environments. Supporting virtualization infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. Automating IT administration and server provisioning using tools such as: Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Automation, Azure CLI, PowerShell and VMWare PowerCLI, Terraforms or similar IaC tools. Integrating infrastructure management tools with APIs to enable deployment of Infrastructure as Code integrated into CI/CD deployment pipelines. Preferred Skills VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate preferred. Soft Skills: Organizational Skills:
