As a BDR, you’ll be on the front lines of our growth, building a high-quality lead pipeline and serving as the first point of contact for prospective customers. This is a high-impact role with visibility and growth potential within a fast-moving company. You’ll work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop strategies, generate interest, and set the stage for successful deal closures.

You should be a confident communicator who can clearly articulate our value proposition, identify business pain points, and align our solutions to customer needs. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, persistence, organization, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

As a Business Development Representative, your primary focus will be generating new business opportunities to fuel PostProcess Technologies’ growth. You’ll be instrumental in building a strong sales pipeline through proactive outreach and strategic follow-up, while also supporting the sales team in daily operations. Responsibilities include:

Lead Generation & Pipeline Development

Identify and qualify new business opportunities via email, phone, events, and web inquiries

Execute outbound lead generation programs with measurable KPIs

Manage inbound leads and inquiries; qualify and route them efficiently

Conduct online research and apply lead nurturing strategies

Maintain a healthy sales funnel with accurate pipeline progression

Deal Support & Coordination

Assist Territory Business Managers (TBMs) with quoting, follow-ups, and admin support

Communicate our value proposition across hardware, software, and chemistry solutions

Ensure seamless handoff of qualified leads to the appropriate sales reps

Sales Tools & Process Efficiency

Maintain accurate CRM records and support data integrity

Champion improvements in CRM usage, reporting, and process optimization

Recommend and implement ways to improve sales throughput

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with marketing, customer success, and technical teams to enhance prospect experience

Support channel partners and TBMs in the education and engagement of prospects

Participate in solution testing and benchmarking as needed

Market Awareness

Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities

Qualifications

Skills

Excellent communication skills—confident, persuasive, and professional across phone, email, and meetings

Strong listening and problem-solving skills to uncover customer needs

Highly organized with effective time management and prioritization abilities

Proactive, resourceful, and goal-oriented mindset

Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment

Attention to detail in communications and CRM tracking

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field

1–2 years in technical sales, BDR/SDR, or startup environments

Familiarity with CRM tools like NetSuite and marketing automation platforms

Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office

Knowledge of additive manufacturing is a plus

Our Ideal Teammate

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business field preferred.

1-2 years technical sales, business sales, and start-up growth experience preferred.

Experience working with CRM programs such as Salesforce required, with the ability to provide input on development and improvements of the CRM system in alignment with company needs.

Expertise with Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Apps, and Microsoft Office.

Experienced phone and email communications and sales calling campaigns.

Superb problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing is a plus.
