PURPOSE
Ascendancy Recruiting is representing an established mining company in search of a skilled Process Engineer with experience in mining, mineral processing, or metals production. The company is a leading international producer of high-quality zinc, lead, and a range of other base and precious metals, making it a trusted name in the global resources industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical support to plant production departments as directed by Technical Superintendent. Monitor KPI's and proactively implement corrective actions to increase on-line time of process. Conduct the appropriate pre-task risk assessments and intervene with co-workers as necessary to ensure safety in the workplace. Maintain and monitor departmental SPC charts and dashboards, as appropriate. Continually analyze plant capacity and proactively address any potential bottlenecks. Develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements to maintain a continuous-improvement culture. Develop and contribute to the implementation of capital projects. Conduct field research and work with operators to better understand the processes and problems encountered in day-to-day operations. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required, concentration in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Technology is preferred 2-5 years experience in mining, mineral processing, metals production, or a similar technical/support role Some exposure to metallurgical processes desired Highly demonstrated ability in conceptual and practical planning skills Strong working ability with MS Office (Excel, spreadsheets, project planners, charting etc.) Experience in SAP preferred Experience in problem solving methodologies i.e., Root Cause Analysis
