Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept assignment in a free-standing ED offering broad clinical exposure and requiring at least two years of recent ER experience.

Responsibilities Work in a 24-bed free-standing Emergency Department Staffing ratio is 1 nurse to 4 patients Night shift position, 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 Expect to float between all facilities within the state as needed Approximately 15% of patient population is pediatric RN is responsible for respiratory therapy and pharmacy roles in addition to standard nursing duties Special procedures include breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPAP, high frequency ventilation, sedation, rapid sequence intubation, trach care, vent management, blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, 12 Lead EKG, PA lines, rapid infuser, tele interpretation, drains, feeding tubes, PICC/central line access Epic EMR is used and experience is required RNs provide comprehensive emergency care including advanced procedures, respiratory and pharmacy support Reliable transportation is required; travel pairs must have separate vehicles Minimal to no requested time off is permitted; all RTO must be declared at application All travelers may be assigned to float within the health system as needed Completion of mandatory modules pre-start and annually is required First-time travelers will be considered Candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for travel positions at this site Scrub requirements and dress code will be provided upon assignment Holiday and weekend coverage may be required per facility need

Requirements Active WA RN or compact state RN license required Minimum of two years recent ER experience required Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required Experience with trach care, cardioversion/defibrillation, breathing treatments, feeding tube management, PICC lines, rapid infuser, and PA lines required Previous permanent staff of Providence system must have a minimum three-month separation before eligibility Minimum of two supervisory references covering at least one year within the last three years required for consideration SSN, DOB, valid driver’s license, and proof of address required for compliance Must be able to complete all required onboarding modules and compliance requirements within specified timeframes
