Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Stepdown Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts in a 3x12 schedule • Weekly guaranteed 36 hours • Rotating weekend schedule with every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required • Must work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day) • Patient ratio of 3-4:1 on cardiac stepdown unit • No on-call requirements • Must float as needed (customary floating requirements) • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS • 1+ years of nursing experience required • EMR system: EPIC • Dress code: Black scrubs required • Flu vaccination required from November 1 - April 1 • Provide comprehensive nursing care for cardiac stepdown patients • Monitor patients for adverse signs and symptoms, administer medications and wound care • IV therapy competency required including central line care • Document patient care and maintain professional nursing standards • Supervise and delegate duties to unlicensed assistive personnel • Team player with excellent communication and documentation skills required Facility: This healthcare organization operates as a 245-bed Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center providing comprehensive medical services to the community.
