MV Transportation is looking for a
Senior Lead Dispatcher
to play a crucial role in managing communication with our operators while overseeing system performance. You will be responsible for making scheduling adjustments to enhance on-time performance, reduce customer wait times for on-call or will-call services, and mitigate service disruptions caused by vehicle or operator availability issues. This position includes supervisory duties and is essential to our operations. Key Responsibilities: Ensure on-time performance meets contract requirements. Minimize dispatch-related customer complaints. Keep telephone hold times within contract limits. Manage emergency situations in accordance with local policy, ensuring proper notification and documentation. Assist operators during emergencies or vehicle malfunctions, coordinating with relevant operations, safety, and maintenance staff. Reschedule trips in case of vehicle issues, traffic delays, or emergencies. Effectively assign will-call and same-day trips to ensure timely service and maintain productivity. Reconcile trip manifests and fares collected by operators during check-in. Assist passengers with service inquiries and trip status updates. Document daily service events accurately. Maintain a safe and organized work environment focused on employee safety. Foster effective communication with operations staff regarding scheduling and passenger needs. Open or close the facility according to work shifts. Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Ensure attendance is within policy guidelines. Oversee supervisor calls and provide direction as necessary. Assist with same-day rescheduling to ensure efficient operations. Review and respond to complaints related to dispatch events. Handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Maintain open communication with operators regarding customers, cancellations, and directions. Monitor trip statuses and adjust assignments to guarantee punctual performance. Accurately document daily occurrences, including attendance, passenger, and vehicle issues. Utilize spare vehicles effectively to support preventive maintenance programs. Collect necessary trip information from passengers and provide accurate updates on arrival times and pickup locations. Provide information for current and potential passengers regarding transportation services. Conduct follow-up calls with passengers when required by schedule changes. Communicate patient cancellations promptly to scheduling and dispatch staff. Maintain up-to-date passenger records in our customer database. Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills. Actively contribute as a team player, supporting fellow staff and management. Qualifications: Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in Paratransit scheduling using Trapeze PASS. Exceptional communication and decision-making abilities. Impeccable attendance record. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a call center or telephone speaking role.
