Blue Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

and assist in organizing, developing and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The ADON will also service as in-house Staff Development Coordinator and oversee all in-service educational programs as well as track infection control measures.

This position provides several benefits including:

Pay and Compensation: up to $80,000

plus periodic bonuses ranging in amounts based on facility demand.

Position Description

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON ) is responsible for the nursing team and quality of patient service in the absence of the director of nursing. The ADON supervises, analyzes, delegates, and evaluates nursing activities and ensures patient comfort and care. A staff development coordinator must have solid leadership skills and have a solid understanding of the company's needs, helping him to choose relevant and effective training programs. They must be an excellent communicator, with the ability to easily learn new skills and teach them to others.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

Help hire, train, teach, and monitor nurses. Manage clinical operations and developing care plans. Assist in budget preparation and expense management. Conduct patient rounds and address complaints. Train and educate staff. Monitor all infection control measures in the facility. Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

Registered Nurse with current state license. Must have a current/active CPR certification. Must have, as a minimum, two (2) year of recent experience in a supervisory role in a nursing care facility. Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
