Full-Time Veterinary Assistant or Technician , you'll work 33+ hours per week (66+ hours per bi-weekly pay period) and be a core member of our medical team. Your role will include hands-on patient care, client interaction, and clinical support for our doctors and fellow team members.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, procedures, and diagnostics Collect samples for lab testing (blood, fecal, urine, etc.) Administer medications (oral, topical, injections) under supervision Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas Patient Care:
Safely handle and restrain pets of all sizes and temperaments Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively Provide post-treatment care and support recovery Accurately document patient charts and medical records Client Interaction:
Greet and assist clients during check-in and discharge Educate clients on at-home care, medications, and follow-up needs Help create a welcoming, professional, and supportive experience Relay patient updates to clients with clarity and compassion Administrative Support:
Assist with appointment scheduling and patient flow Process client payments and help maintain financial records Help maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed Support general clinic cleanliness and compliance with protocols What We're Looking For
Experience & Education:
Previous experience in a veterinary assistant or technician role required Familiarity with veterinary software, terminology, and procedures High school diploma or equivalent required Veterinary Assistant Certification (CVA) or Veterinary Technician degree is a
plus , but not required Skills & Attributes:
Excellent communication and client service skills Strong animal handling skills Team-first mentality with a compassionate, dependable work ethic Organizational and multitasking abilities in a clinical setting Emotional intelligence and a genuine love for animals This is a
full-time position , requiring
33+ hours per week
(or
66+ hours per pay period ). You'll have a consistent schedule with flexibility to adjust based on clinic needs.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a
competitive hourly wage
based on your experience and clinical skills, along with a full benefits package available to all full-time Innovetive Petcare employees. Hourly wage will begin at
$14/hr , with room for negotiation based on relevant work experience.
