Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking a

Federal Programs Coordinator

responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring the division's federal education grants. Scope includes, but is not limited to, Title I, Title II, and Title IV grants, reading and math instructional programs, as well as Title I behavior intervention support. This position assists in the development of the curriculum, provides staff development, ensures programmatic compliance, and prepares and monitors the program's budget.

Essential Functions:

Manages the Title I, Title II, and Title IV program grants to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Title I program and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) legislation Writes and submits applications and amendments for the Title I, II and IV grants as needed, adhering to established timelines Works closely with Title I school principals and designated staff to assist with appropriate and timely use of fund Collaborates with private schools to provide Equitable Services as required through ESEA Collaborates with finance to ensure timely spending and reporting of funds in accordance with the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) established timelines Prepares for federal program monitoring and works with appropriate SCPS departments to ensure compliance Submits required annual reporting to VDOE Click here to read the full Job Description for this role.

Education and Experience:

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university Currently possesses a Virginia Collegiate Professional or Postgraduate Professional License within a specific endorsement area(s) Five (5) years of successful, full-time, teaching experience

Employment Terms:

Employment may be offered as a 12-Month (243 Day), full-time position. The work schedule for this position is 7.5 hours worked per day, excluding lunch. This position is evaluated annually.
