Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Join our dedicated team at Gundersen Health System as a Dental Assistant in our Pediatric department. Gundersen Health System is a physician-led enterprise recognized for delivering high-quality healthcare services across Wisconsin We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to provide exceptional support to our dental professionals and ensure a positive experience for our patients.
Position: Dental Assistant Department: Pediatric Hours: 36 hours per week Schedule: 4 9-hr days each week. 6:30 am - 4:30 pm. Example: Week 1 Monday-Thursday, Week 2 Tuesday - Friday Locations: Downtown Dental Specialties, La Crosse and on Mondays will travel to the Main Campus in Winona Key Responsibilities: Taking and developing dental X-rays and impressions for orthodontic treatment planning.
Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and care of orthodontic appliances.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent
Desired: 1-2 years of work experience in a dental practice
CPR for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in electronic patient records (example Epic) is preferred
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
