We're seeking a Maintenance Technician for our 2nd Shift to take the lead in maintaining and repairing all equipment, utilities, and facility systems. As the sole technician on site, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our plant runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with strict food production standards.

What You'll Do

Equipment Maintenance and Repairs Perform daily, preventive, and emergency maintenance on machinery, packaging equipment, refrigeration, boilers, and more Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues quickly and accurately Preventive Maintenance Management

Create and manage a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce downtime Track and document all tasks and maintain inventory of critical parts Compliance and Facility Support

Ensure all equipment and systems meet OSHA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP standards Handle general building repairs including lighting, plumbing, and structural work Vendor and Project Coordination

Oversee contractors and service providers Support equipment upgrades and capital improvement projects Documentation and Communication

Maintain accurate maintenance logs, manuals, and inspection records Communicate clearly with plant leadership on schedules and urgent repairs What You Bring

Experience and Education

High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred Five or more years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, ideally in the food industry Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical panels, PLCs, HVAC, refrigeration, and hydraulics Experience with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and lockout/tagout procedures Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus Soft Skills

Highly independent and reliable with strong problem-solving skills Able to stay calm under pressure and make sound decisions Strong written and verbal communication skills Schedule and Job Details

Shift: 2nd Shift, typically 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday through Friday Overtime: May be required, including weekends, based on production needs Work Environment: In-person at our food manufacturing plant Travel: Minimal, if any Physical Requirements

Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing Comfortable working in temperature-variable environments, around machinery and cleaning chemicals, and in confined spaces or at heights What Success Looks Like

Equipment is consistently operational, minimizing production downtime Preventive maintenance is executed on time and thoroughly documented The facility remains safe, clean, and fully functional Vendor relationships and project timelines are well-managed Maintenance practices support food safety, compliance, and audit readiness
